75 Dwellings in Pozuelo de Alarcon, Madrid

Competition. 2013 – 2nd Prize

The existing conditions on the site are especially privileged, because of the landscape qualities of the plot and the views of the environment to the mountains, to the Casa de Campo, and to the city of Madrid.

For that reason it is one of the main premises of the proposal to take advantage of these conditions through the implementation of the 75 dwellings that enjoy the view while respecting 100% of the existing trees. These dwellings are organized into eleven blocks that allow adapting to the steep terrain and to the voids left by the trees.

The fall of the land northward invites ordering the dwellings according to an east-west axis so that the implementation is as integrated as possible along the slope while all rooms have adequate sun exposure.
